It’s been awhile since I’ve sent out an update on what’s going on. That’s because there’s been so much going on! It’s been an unusual summer for me. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling, moving stuff around, and finalizing future plans. It’s made the time go by really fast. I can’t believe it’s the end of July already!

I’m also blessed that some of that busyness has been dedicated to our band, The Suitcase Set! Last month we played in Pierre, South Dakota at their Oahe Days festival. I also played a solo show in Valentine, NE. This month, along with regular shows around the state, we also competed in the Strawbale Winery’s Folk Off and won! This month’s YouTube video is our original song “Angels in Heaven” performed as part of our winning set. As the winners, we’re looking forward to opening the Sioux River Folk Festival this Friday.
